A great success!

A fascinating workshop that leaves nothing usable behind: it is the most common scenario, and the most costly.

There is a scenario we come across regularly with clients who call us after the event. An inspiring seminar, delighted participants, real energy. And three weeks later, nothing. No decisions acted upon, no usable document, just raw material that no one has the time to pick up again.

It is probably the most costly waste in our profession. Bringing a hundred people together for two days is a considerable investment, and it evaporates for want of one step that would have taken a few days’ work.

Documenting is not taking notes

Documenting means making what was said, built and decided readable, usable and shareable. It means producing a structured record of an intense collective moment that is, by its very nature, fleeting.

We have also learned that documenting everything makes no sense. The path belongs to the group. What we aim to capture are the moments that matter: the turning points, the areas of agreement, the structuring insights, whatever genuinely commits the next steps.

What our clients do with it

The feedback we receive almost always focuses on the same point. The deliverable served as their roadmap. They used it to align their teams, to communicate with their leadership, to pick up the thread several months later.

That is our measure of success. Not satisfaction on the day itself, which is pleasant but does not prove much. What counts is what happens in the following quarter.

A useful seminar is one whose results live on after the day itself. Everything else is just an interlude.
