# AI-augmented seminars: live synthesis, reporting and action follow-up > An AI-augmented seminar keeps the workshops, the facilitation and the human decisions, and hands AI the work that slows things down: building teams, capturing outputs, drafting the synthesis. It takes on production work so the facilitation team can stay with the group. Walls of sticky notes are photographed and read, discussions can be transcribed with timestamps, and teams are rebuilt when people are missing. The facilitator stays in charge of the plan and of what the group is shown. - Before: teams built from your diversity rules, badges, room plans - During: photos of outputs, timestamped transcripts, instructions sent to phones - After: a report as a web page and a PDF, with the list of decisions ## What is a live synthesis? It is a synthesis of the morning’s work shown to the group in the afternoon, often straight after lunch. flowAI brings the teams’ outputs together; we review, correct and choose what goes on screen. The group sees what it produced while it is still in the room, and can use it to decide. ## How does AI write a seminar synthesis? From what the group actually produced: photos of the materials, transcripts, votes. flowAI’s reporting kit links every idea to its source, so any sentence can be traced back to the workshop it came from. The Flow Design team reviews the synthesis, which is then delivered as a branded web page and a PDF. ## How do you follow up the actions agreed in a seminar? Decisions are written down in the room, each with an owner and a deadline. flowAI carries them into the report and can keep them up to date in a shared list. A follow-up session a few weeks later checks what has moved. AI keeps the memory; the commitments belong to people. ## What happens to participants’ data? Before the seminar, we agree with you on what is captured: photos, recordings, or no recording at all. Participants are told at the opening. flowAI runs on Claude, Anthropic’s model, and the data is used to prepare your report. At 1.30pm the room was validating the synthesis of its own morning, put together with AI over lunch. ## Frequently asked questions ### Does AI replace the facilitators? No. flowAI smooths production; it does not produce in place of people. Design, facilitation and judgement on what is said and shown stay with the Flow Design team and your sponsors. ### Do participants have to install anything? No. They can receive instructions and send photos from their phones, but none of it is mandatory. A seminar works just as well with paper, walls and a team taking photos. ### How soon do we get the report? A live synthesis can be shown during the seminar. The full report, reviewed and edited, follows within a timeframe we agree with you in the quote. ### Does it cost more than a standard seminar? flowAI is part of how we work and cuts the time spent transcribing. The budget depends mainly on group size, length and scope. We send a quote after a scoping conversation. ### Can the report be in English? Yes. flowAI produces English reports from discussions held in French, and the other way round. We review every version. ### Can we use flowAI without Flow Design? flowAI is our team’s working tool and is used on our projects.
